Cara Judd is a South African designer based in Milan. Her works explore the dialogue between past and present, contradictions and optimism, users and emotions. She self-produces small ranges of items that involve Italian artisans and conceal, with a sense of irony, her eclectic South African nature. In 2007 she graduated in Interior Design from Design Time in Cape Town, and one of her design projects won an award from Elle Decoration and Conran & Partners. She then moved to London, where she completed an internship in Product Design at the firm Conran & Partners. Continuing to work in design in London, she went on to win a product design scholarship at the European Design Institute in 2009 and moved to Milan, where she was awarded her degree in 2011.
Her works have been shown in Italy, (SaloneSatellite, MACEF), Germany (Ambiente), Canada (SIDIM) and South Africa).
