TVS: Corporate Social Responsability
Social responsibility in TVS
Ever since its inception, TVS has considered Company Social
Responsibility as an integral part of its mission, of its values
and its strategies, aiming to increase the satisfaction of clients,
suppliers and its own employees.
For this reason, TVS decided in 2004 to implement a management tool
known as SA8000, the first international certification that
measures the degree of ethics and responsibility of a business,
defining the requirements for the ethically correct behaviour of
businesses and production processes towards workers and
stakeholders.
In accordance with these principles, TVS implements a policy of
social responsibility, shown through the following:
- actions of publicizing its social responsibility policy, in particular towards Suppliers and Sub-suppliers, but also towards local communities such as, for example, schools or universities;
- adoption of an ethically responsible approach that will guide company behaviour in order to maintain a safe, healthy environment for promoting professional development;
- free access to checks and documents relating to certifications by certification bodies, for clients and the bodies certifying them;
- promotion of initiatives for involving personnel with the aim of encouraging internal communication and enabling them to acquire an awareness that they belong to an organization that “cares” about the individual.
